Garrigues y AENOR publican el libro Principios, prácticas y beneficios de la responsabilidad social
Para explicar la situación actual de la ISO 26000 y su evolución futura, la presentación de la obra, celebrada esta mañana en la sede corporativa de Garrigues, ha contado con la intervención de Kristina Sandberg, secretaria del ISO 26000 PPO (Post Publication Organization), órgano de trabajo encargado del seguimiento de la norma, que se ha referido a la situación actual de la norma y a los posibles desarrollos futuros, al tiempo que ha explicado el valor añadido de la norma a la hora de desarrollar una correcta política de RS, entre otros aspectos. El análisis de la situación española le ha correspondido a Miguel Ángel Garcia, director general del Trabajo Autónomo, de la Economía Social y de la Responsabilidad Social de las Empresas (Ministerio de Empleo y Seguridad Social).
La mesa de ponentes se ha completado con las intervenciones de Avelino Brito, director general de AENOR y Antonio Baena, socio de Garrigues, junto con los coordinadores de la obra, Yolanda Villaseñor, directora de Calidad y Responsabilidad Social de AENOR y Jesús de la Morena, socio de Garrigues; éstos últimos han explicado el contenido del manual Principios, prácticas y beneficios de la responsabilidad social.
«Una de las principales ventajas de la norma ISO 26000 reside en que las distintas visiones recogidas sobre la responsabilidad social han hecho posible atender las necesidades e intereses de cualquier organización que desee emprender este camino, sea cual sea su actividad, localización, entorno o grupos de interés», ha explicado Jesús de la Morena.
Según Yolanda Villaseñor «para que la responsabilidad social sea un compromiso eficaz y duradero es necesario que esté adecuadamente integrada en la gestión general de la organización: en sus actividades, operaciones y decisiones, teniendo en cuenta a todos los grupos de interés. Este libro ayudará a grandes y medianas empresas, de todos los sectores, a aplicar la RS».
Cinco capítulos para entender la responsabilidad social
El libro pretende facilitar la comprensión y aplicación de la responsabilidad social desde dos ideas básicas: el diálogo con los grupos de interés y el respeto de la legalidad vigente. En la redacción ha intervenido miembros del grupo de trabajo de ISO que elaboró la norma, auditores de responsabilidad social y expertos en buen gobierno, recursos humanos, medio ambiente, etc. AENOR, como entidad legalmente responsable del desarrollo de las normas técnicas en España y representante español ante ISO, Organización Internacional de Normalización, participó activamente en la elaboración de la norma internacional.
A través de cinco capítulos se explica el proceso de elaboración, votación y aprobación de la Norma ISO 26000, así como su transcripción como Norma española UNE-ISO 26000:2012, publicada en marzo por AENOR; los pasos esenciales para aplicar la responsabilidad social en las distintas organizaciones; los beneficios de aquellas organizaciones que optan por la responsabilidad social; y, por último, las principales iniciativas y modelos internacionales que responden a los principios y recomendaciones de la Norma UNE-ISO 26000:2012, como el estándar internacional de responsabilidad social IQNet SR10.
El libro se completa con tres anexos sobre la estrategia de la Unión Europea en materia de RSE, el reporting no financiero y sobre la deducción fiscal por inversiones para la protección del medio ambiente tras la ley de economía sostenible.
